All-in-One Breakfast Shake
Cereal, soy and fruit in one easy-to-fix and easy-to-enjoy package. You can add variety with your choice of juice and by altering the fruit with the season, replacing banana with a very ripe pear, large peach or ¾ cup sweet berries.
Yield: 2 large 12-ounce servings
- 1¼ cups soy milk
- 1 medium banana
- ½ cup orange, apple or pineapple juice
- ¼ cup oats
- 2 tablespoon wheat germ
- 2 to 4 ice cubes, optional
- Nutmeg, optional
Combine everything except the ice cubes and nutmeg in a blender. Process at high speed until smooth. For a frothier shake, add ice cubes and process until completely melted.
Pour into servings glasses. Sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired.
