It may take a few rounds to get the knack of working with whatever grilling equipment you have, be it a fancy gas-powered unit or a simple outdoor electric grill. Remember, though, that expensive equipment is not necessary to create a tasty outdoor meal.

The following barbecue recipes are fairly easy and straightforward. They’re perfect for vegans and vegetarians just starting to experiment with outdoor grilling.

We have a unique book on plant based meals made on a barbeque grill that people are just loving. –GRILLS GONE VEGAN– I thought you may want to add it to your recipe section on your site. For those who need to reduce meat, it is possible to eat healthy and not give up the mouth watering flavors of grilled food. A digital sampler is available for review, and also a hard copy. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you, Mary Ellen,

Great! I love the flavor of barbecue rub specially the one from Horton Spice Mills. I wanted to know if we can use the same rub in this vegan barbecue meal too. Or there any other vegan barbecue rub?

This is an excellent electric grill, and a lot less expensive than the Weber electric grill. We did not want to purchase a George Foreman Grill as it is a too much like a hot plate. This is a real grille with slots for the fat to go into a drip pan. The grill itself gets gets hot, and cooks the food perfectly every time. I have cooked chicken, steaks, and hamburger. They come out as good as they did when we used to use our gas grill. We moved into an apartment where gas grill’s are not permitted, so we had to go with an electric grill.
