Green smoothies are a great way to get a bold dose of veggies, fiber, and nutrients in a healthy, convenient, low‐calorie way.
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1½ cups pear juice, coconut water, water, or a mixture
  • 3 romaine lettuce or kale leaves
  • 1 small cucumber, peeled
  • 1 to 2 parsley sprigs
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and liquefy using the most powerful setting. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into 1 to 2 glasses and enjoy immediately.

    Does the chia seeds dissolve in the stomach for the property inside the seed?

      Claudia, I think I know what you’re getting at, and the answer is yes; chia seeds don’t need to be ground like flaxseeds in order to reap the benefits. Though using them ground is perfectly OK, too. Just make sure to use them with plenty of liquid!

    you can also soak chia seeds in a small amount of water and they will create a gel that mixes easier!
