  • 2 medium pears or apples, peeled, cored,
    and finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Crumb topping

  • 2 tablespoons nonhydrogenated margarine such as Earth Balance
  • 2/3 cup matzo meal
  • 1/3 cup finely ground walnuts
  • 1/2 cup natural granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the first 5 ingredients in a mixing bowl, then pat into a 9-inch square baking pan.
