But somehow I have failed to keep up with the Halloween themed recipes around here. So let me make that up to you with these simple and delicious Vegan Halloween Cupcakes.

Cool the cupcakes completely before applying the frosting, so it doesn’t melt!
Coloring the frosting
Start with a small amount of food coloring and gradually add more until the desired shade of orange is achieved. For a more professional look, use a piping bag to apply the frosting in big swirls!

Vegan Halloween Cupcakes
Ingredients
For the Cupcakes:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup organic sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup almond milk or any other plant-based milk
- ½ cup neutral oil like canola or vegetable
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
For the Orange Vegan Frosting:

- 4 cups powdered sugar ensure it's bone-char free
- ¼ cup almond milk or any other plant-based milk

Instructions
Cupcakes:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the almond milk, oil, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar.
- Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Evenly divide the batter into the cupcake liners.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.

Orange Frosting:
