Walnuts and hemp seeds offer a tasty source of Omega 3s in this quick and easy raw pie crust. Feel free to fill it with your favorite fruit filling for a no bake pie everyone will love. Contributed by Leslie Cerier. Photos by Tracey Eller.
Makes 1 pie crust
- 1 cup walnuts
- ¼ cup hemp seeds
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Put the walnuts and hemp seeds in a food processor and grind into a course meal. Add the maple syrup and vanilla and blend until well mixed.
Press it onto the bottom of a pie pan and fill with your favorite raw pie filling.
